3/4 x 1/2 inch two-tone polished and satin finish sterling silver miraculous medal on an 18 inch stainless steel rhodium plated chain. The pendant features a polished finish silver decorative filigree border. In the center is a satin finish gold raised figure of Mary surrounded by the words, \"O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.\" On the back of the medal in a brushed finish is the letter M, representing Mary, surmounted by a cross representing the sacrifice of Jesus, and surrounded by twelve stars that represent the twelve apostles. Includes an elegant deluxe velour jewelry box.The origin of the miraculous medal comes from the visions Saint Catherine Laboure experienced in the year 1830 of Mary Immaculate.
